历史History

嵊州古称剡县，至今已有2100多年历史。早在新石器时代，此地就有人类繁衍生息。春秋战国时期，先后属越、吴、楚、秦国。汉景帝四年（公元前153年）为会稽郡26县之一，称剡。宋宣和三年（1121年）更名为嵊。1995年撤县设市。

小黄山遗址位列2005年全国十大考古新发现之首。该遗址地处甘霖镇桂山村小黄山，面积10万多平方米，是目前长江中下游地区距今9000年前后规模最大的聚落遗址，是浙江乃至东南沿海地区时代最早的新石器时代考古学文化，填补了这一地区新石器时代中期偏早阶段考古学文化的空白。

Shengzhou, with the history of 2100 years, was called as Shanxian in ancient times. As early as in the Neolithic Age, people was living and working in this place. During the Spring and Autumn Period, it has ever been under the administration of Yue, Wu, Chu, Qin successively. In the 4th year of Jingdi period of Han Dynasty, it is one of the counties among the 26 in Kuaiji Prefecture, called Shan. In the Xuanhe Period of Song Dynasty (AD 1121), it changed its name into Sheng. In 1995, it upgraded as county-level city with the name of Shengzhou.

Xiaohuangshan site ranked first in China's top ten archaeological discoveries in 2005. The site is located in the Xiao Huangshan of Guishan village,Ganlin town, with an area of over 100,000 square meters. It is the largest settlement sites in the Yangtze River region dating back 9,000 years ago, as well as the earliest Neolithic era archaeological culture in Zhejiang and even southeastern coastal areas, which fills the archaeological culture gap in the earlier stage of mid-Neolithic era in this region.

 嵊州隶属绍兴市，是全国第一批经济开放县市，全国综合实力百强县市，全国县域经济基本竞争力百强县市。嵊州市交通区位特殊，以一个“金十字”与四大都市区（杭州、宁波、温州和金华-义乌）连接起来。位于“长三角经济圈”、浙江省“1小时经济圈”的核心地带，距萧山机场、宁波港、柯桥中国轻纺城和义乌中国小商品城1小时左右，距上海2个小时。全市总面积1790平方公里，现辖4个街道、11个镇、6个乡、463个行政村，总人口74万，其中，市区总面积216平方公里，人口21万多。

嵊州为亚 热带季风气候，温和湿润，四季分明，年平均气温16.4℃，年平均降水量1400mm ，无霜期250天左右。

Shengzhou, under the administration of Shaoxing, is one of the earliest cities open to the outside economically, one of the top 100 cities in respect of comprehensive strength and regional economic competitiveness in China. Shengzhou has advantageous location and traffic, with a "Golden Cross" connected four major metropolitan area (Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou and Jinhua-Yiwu). Shengzhou located in the center area of “Yangtze River Delta Economic Circle" and "One-hour Economic Circle in Zhejiang". It takes 1 hour from Shengzhou to Xiaoshan Airport, Ningbo Port, China Textile City (Keqiao) and China Commodity City (Yiwu) and takes 2 hours to Shanghai. Shengzhou covers the total area of 1790 square kilometers, and has jurisdiction over 4 streets, 11 towns, 6 townships and 463 administrative villages, with a total population of 740,000; among which, the urban area covers 216 square kilometers, with a total population of 210,***

Shengzhou belongs to subtropical monsoon climate, mild and wet, and has the distinctive 4 seasons. Its average annual temperature is 16.4℃, average annual rainfall is 1400mm, and 250 days without frost annually.

人文Culture

嵊州历史悠久，文化底蕴深厚。传说“大禹治水毕功于了溪”（了溪即嵊州母亲河剡溪），王羲之晚年隐居于金庭，山水诗鼻祖谢灵运封籍始宁墅，李白、杜甫、白居易等400多位唐代诗人游历剡溪开创了“唐诗之路”，朱熹、蔡元培在嵊州讲学植下了悠悠文脉。中国第二大剧种--越剧在这里孕育诞生。嵊州名人辈出，有经济学家、教育家、人口学家先驱马寅初，音乐家任光，美术家刘文西、郑午昌，越剧表演艺术家袁雪芬、王文娟，围棋国手马晓春，著名商界人士马云、宋卫平等。

Shengzhou has a long history and profound culture background. It is said that Dayu, who strived to control the continuous flood disaster at ancient times, completed his work here in Liaoxi River (Liaoxi River is Shengzhou’s mother river Shangxi River). Wang Xizhi, one of the top calligraphers in Chinese history, spent his late reclusion life in Jinting town of Shengzhou. Xie Lingyun, the creator of scenic poems finally lived in Sanjie Town of Shenghzou. More than 400 poets in Tang Dynasty have traveled along Shanxi River, including the greatest poets Li Bai, Du Fu and Bai Juyi, and thus created the Road of Tang Poetry. Ancient educator Zhu Xi and modern educator Cai Yuanpei have given lectures in Shengzhou. It is also the birth place of the second biggest opera of China-Yueju Opera. In modern times, even more celebrated men were born here, such as the famous economist, educator and demology expert Ma Yinchu, Musician Ren Guang, Painter Liu Wenxi and Zheng Wuchang, Yueju Opera artist Yuan Xuefen and Wang Wenjuan, National Champion of go-chess Ma Xiaochun, the distinguished businessman Mayun, Song Weiping, etc.

Shengzhou industrial economy has distinctive features. Necktie & Garment Industry, Machinery & Electrical Machinery Industry and Electrical & Kitchen Appliance Industry have been the leading industries. Auto parts, electronic information, new materials and other emerging industries developed rapidly. 领带服装产业Necktie & Garment Industry

全市现有领带服装生产企业2100多家，年产领带3亿多条，占全国领带的90%，世界的60%，产品出口到90多个国家和地区，现已成为世界领带加工基地和全国领带加工中心、批发销售中心、新品展示中心、信息服务中心、研究开发中心和质量检测中心。嵊州享有“21世纪国际领带都市”、“领带产业国际合作基地”、“中国真丝之都”、“中国真丝产品流行趋势发布基地”等荣誉称号。针织、服装产业现有生产企业800余家，年产各类服装1亿件以上，年产值达300亿元，产品出口美国、日本、德国、意大利、香港等30多个国家和地区，是“中国丝针织服装生产基地”。

There are more than 2100 necktie and garment enterprises with annual neckties production capability of more than 300 million pieces, accounting for 90% of the domestic output, and 60% of the world output. The neckties export to more than 90 countries and regions. Shengzhou has become the national, even the world’s necktie processing base, wholesale distribution center, new product exhibition center, information service center, R & D center and quality inspection center. Shengzhou has been awarded as "21st Century International Tie City", "Necktie Industry International Cooperation Base", "China’s Silk Capital", " China's Silk Products Fashion Trend Release Base", etc. There are more than 800 knitting garment enterprises with the annual production capability of more than 100 billion pieces, the annual turnover of 30 billion yuan. 全市现有机械电机生产企业1000多家，全行业销售收入100亿元以上。电机产品以小功率电机为主，是“全国小功率电机生产基地”；机械行业门类众多，是全国粉碎设备生产基地之一、全国三大链轮出口基地之一。

There are more than 1000 machinery & electrical machinery enterprises. The industrial output value hit 10 billion yuan. The main product of electrical machinery industry is small power motor. Shengzhou is China's Small Power Electric Motor Production Base. The electrical machinery industry has many categories. Shengzhou is one of the Crushing Equipment Production Bases and one of the Three Sprocket Export Bases.

电器厨具产业Electrical & Kitchen Appliance Industry

嵊州现有电器厨具生产企业500多家，年销售收入超过100亿元，是中国著名的“厨具之都”，燃气灶在数量上占全国的30%，世界的5%；嵊州是我国第一个电声零件特色区域，“中国电声零件之都”，电子电声产业中的纸盆在数量上占全国的80%，世界的25%，其中天乐集团的数码技术已跃居同行前列。

Shengzhou is China's famous capital of kitchen appliance.The output of gas stove accounts for 30% of the domestic output, and 5% of the world output. Shengzhou is the first electro-acoustic parts specialty area and is the capital of electro-acoustic parts. The output of paper cone in electronic & electro-acoustic industry accounts for 85% of the domestic output, and 25% of the world output. The digital technology of Tianle Group has leapt to the forefront of peers.

农业Agriculture

嵊州是农业大市，现有省级无公害农产品产地176个，农业龙头企业221家，3个现代农业综合区，12个主导产业示范区和21个特色精品园列入省级创建点，创建数量居全省各县（市）前列，主导产品有茶叶、香榧、桃形李、竹笋、花木、长毛兔等，其中茶叶已拥有越乡龙井、辉白、毛峰三大类30多个名茶品牌，已形成从生产、初精制加工、销售到茶机制造等门类齐全的茶业体系，是全国最大的珠茶精制加工出口基地、最大的龙井茶生产基地。

Shengzhou is a traditional agriculture city, which has 176 provincial pollution-free agricultural producing areas, 221 agricultural leading enterprises, 3 modern agricultural areas, 12 leading industry demonstration zones and 21 specialty boutique parks included in the provincial creating points, ranking in the forefront of the province. The leading products are tea, Chinese torreya, peach-shaped plum, bamboo shoots, flowering wood, Angora, etc., among which the tea formed 3 categories of Yuexiang Longjing, Huibai, Maofeng and more than 30 brands. Shengzhou has formed a complete system from the production, early refined processing, marketing to tea machine manufacturing. Shengzhou is China’s largest gunpowder refined processing export base and the largest production base of Longjing tea.

嵊州钟灵毓秀，生态宜居，素有“东南山水越为最，越地风光剡领先”之美誉，是一座现代化的山水园林城市。嵊州已初步形成浙江省级温泉旅游度假区为龙头，百丈飞瀑、南山风景名胜区、剡溪漂流、十八都江等旅游景区为主体的文化休闲、生态体验、温泉度假旅游板块。

嵊州经济开发区（浦口街道）系省级经济开发区，规划面积35平方公里，下辖城东分区、浦口分区和三塘分区。一期17平方公里的开发建设已基本完成，水、电、热、通信、路网、绿化、亮化、环境等基本配套日趋完善,形成了以领带服装、机械电机、电器厨具三大产业集群为代表的独具地方特色的产业结构。同时，新材料、电子信息、生物医药等新兴产业发展迅速，为经济转型升级注入新的活力。开发区自主创新体系也已基本形成，区内已拥有绍兴市级以上高新技术企业52家，其中省级高新技术企业24家、国家级5家，各类科研机构31家。区域性科技创新体系也初步建立，包括国家级的长毛兔生产力促进中心、省级领带科技创新中心、省级微特电机科创中心等。开发区良好的产业基础为各类企业提供了全方位的产业配套，实现了产业的全面对接和提升。开发区浦口二期平台建设正在进行中，目前已调整1万多亩建设用地，初步完成一期5600亩土地的征地工作， 发展前景广阔。

Shengzhou Economic Development Zone(Pukou Subdistrict), approved by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, is a provincial-level economic development zone(shorted as SEDZ). It covers an area of 35 square kilometers, and administers the sub-zones of Chengdong, Pukou and Santang. The development and construction of the first phase’s 17 square kilometers has been completed. Water, electricity, heat, communications, road network, greening, lighting and environment become more and more complete. SEDZ has formed the unique industrial structure of necktie & garment industry, machinery & electrical machinery industry and electrical & kitchen appliance industry. Meanwhile , new materials, electronic information, biological medicine developed rapidly, injecting new vitality to the economic transformation and upgrading. The development of independent innovation system has been basically formed. SEDZ has 52 high-tech enterprises above the municipal level, including 24 provincial-level and 5 state-level, as well as 31 research institutions. Regional technological innovation system has taken shape, including the National Productivity Promotion Center of the Angora rabbit, Zhejiang Necktie Science and Technology Innovation Center, Zhejiang micro-motor Science and Technology Center, etc. SEDZ provides a good industrial base for all types of businesses.
